Ticket for Local Public Transport
All participants will receive a ticket for local public transport. Your conference badge or confirmation of payment in combination with the conference ticket will authorize you to use all busses of the public transport (RVV) in Regensburg from 4 September to 9 September 2022 within zone 1.
The buses with the numbers 2, 4, 6 and 11 will take you to Universität Regensburg. Please get off at the bus stop „Universität". Those buses (with the exception of the bus with the numbers 4) depart from „Hauptbahnhof“ next to the main station.
Information on bus routes, timetables and the route network in Regensburg can be found on the RVV website at www.rvv.de.
The medical mask requirement for public transport remains in place in Bavaria until further notice!
Arrival by Car
The motorways A3 and A 93 will take you to Regensburg.
Coming from Munich:
Follow Autobahn A9 to Dreieck Holledau, then follow A93 to Regensburg. At the Autobahn-junction Regensburg follow A3 direction Passau to Exit 100a "Regensburg-Klinikum / -Universität"
Coming from Frankfurt / Würzburg:
Follow Autobahn A3 to Exit 100a "Regensburg-Klinikum / -Universität"
Coming from Leipzig:
Follow Autobahn A9 to the Autobahn-junction Nürnberg, then follow A3 to Regensburg, Exit 100a "Regensburg-Klinikum / -Universität"
Coming from Passau:
Follow Autobahn A3 to the Exit 100a "Regensburg-Klinikum / -Universität"
From the Exit follow the signs "Universität / Klinikum".
Parking at Universität Regensburg:
Please note: The underground car parks are closed due to renovation. Please use the new parking garages near BioPark and the parking lots between UR and OTH. There are no parking fees.
Please do not park in areas set aside for special users (“reservierte Stellplätze”) or in handicapped parking areas without a special parking permit. If you do, you may be towed away (with costs!). Towed vehicles will be taken to the alternative car park near the building of Chemistry and Pharmacy. It can be reached through the street “Am BioPark" (site plan towing parking area). To reclaim your towed vehicle, please telephone the towing service on +49 (0) 172 8128601. You will be provided with a lock code so you can retrieve your car.
Arrival by Train
Both fast and regional trains stop at Regensburg Main Station. It is a station on the railway lines Amsterdam-Vienna and Paris-Prague. Within Germany, train services operate from Berlin/Dresden, Hamburg/Hannover, Dortmund/Cologne, Frankfurt/Stuttgart and Munich to Regensburg.
It is possible to get from the train station Regensburg to the university either with bus line number 6 (direction Klinikum) or 11 (direction Burgweinting). The distance from the train station to the bus terminal "Bustreff Albertstrasse" is appr. 100 m.
Both lines leave the bus terminal at a stop located around the corner at the east end (turn right coming from the train station) of the terminal. Get off at the stop “Universität”.
Busses leave in both directions between 5:30 h and 23:50 h, normally every 20 minutes, number 6 at busy times (in the morning and late afternoon) every 10 minutes.

Arrival by Plane
The largest airport close to Regensburg is
Airport "Franz-Josef-Strauß" in Munich:
From the Munich Airport Terminal stop take the train (RE) to Regensburg main train station (approx. 1.5 hour).
The Airport Nuremberg is much smaller but as close as the airport in Munich.
From there take the subway U2 to Nuremberg main train station (approx. 15 min) and then take the train to Regensburg (approx. 1 hour).
